Celebrating Our Students

Graduate researcher accomplishments:

Shawna Fitzwater completed her qualifying exams this spring, marking the first milestone towards her Ph.D.
Summer awards were granted to Vanna Hay (KU Research Excellence Initiative Award) and Lydia Sykora (KU Graduate Studies Summer Research Scholarship).
We are very excited to announce that graduate researcher, Josie Muskrat, received a Graduate Research Fellowship from the National Science Foundation!

Undergraduate researcher accomplishments:

Abby Vaugn (shown in full clean room garb) graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.A. in Anthropology and minors in Linguistics and History. Next fall, she will begin working on a masters in bioarchaeology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. We will miss her but can’t wait to see what she does in the future!
Emily Ward has been selected as a Rhodes and Marshall Fellowship nominee.
